Ski schools and ski courses in Zauchensee

The ski area Zauchensee is very popular because it is high alpine
and therefore snow is guaranteed, and because the 44 km of slopes
are simply in perfect condition.

The highest ski area in the Salzburg Sports World offers, in addition to the top-prepared ski slopes for every level of ability, wide powder snow slopes and off-road variants for powder snow skiers, a children's area with a magic carpet and a tyre carousel for the little ones and simply a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain world, which lets you feel the feeling of freedom.

In the ski swing Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl there are 3 ski movie routes on which you can be filmed: On the Funslope Gamskogel, the giant slalom Kogelalm and the parallel slalom. This is not only a great souvenir of your skiing day, but also gives you the opportunity to analyse your skiing style. If you notice that you're not skiing as safely as you'd like, the local ski schools and snowboard schools will be happy to help. They teach you and your children in the ski course the first turns just as skilfully as they help you to optimize your skiing technique when you are already advanced so that you can get the most out of your skiing day. There is also a Family Park at Rosskopf where you can try your first jumps over obstacles before venturing into a big snow park. Racers and all those who want to become racers will enjoy the Kogelalm training centre with 2 permanent training tracks, the Rodeodrive and the Larkpipe. There is also a storage room for poles and accessories. Thanks to the altitude of 1,900 m, the training tracks are guaranteed snow and the Kogelalm drag lift takes you up to the training track very quickly.

Zauchensee is also the venue of many FIS Women's World Cup races, which again proves the exceptional quality of the ski area. And while we're on the subject: The downhill world champion Michael Walchhofer is at home in Zauchensee and has learned to ski on the slopes of the ski area. So if you're not infected by ski fever here, where is it?

The ski swing Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl is part of Ski amadé, the Austrian ski association, which opens 760 km of slopes and 270 lifts with only 1 ski ticket. So if you really want to go on a trip to a neighbouring ski area, you can do so thanks to the Ski amadé Skiticket, without having to pay a surcharge.
One more thing should be mentioned: for a snack in between or for après-ski, Zauchensee also has the right ski huts and après-ski bars. Because a stop for refreshments is simply part of skiing in Austria.
