Westendorf is a very special place in the SkiWelt. For many years the skiing area between Choralpe and Brechhorn was considered an insider tip. Today Westendorf is one of the most popular places in the SkiWelt. With many pistes for experts and connoisseurs, the Big Playground©, one of the hottest fun parks in the SkiWelt, but also a generous beginners' area in the valley and many pistes for beginners and families. And there are also two highlights: one of the longest and steepest slopes in the SkiWelt. Westendorf also offers connections via the Kandler run to the opposite side of the Brixen Valley (and SkiWelt) and via the Ki-West run to the Kirchberg-Kitzbühel ski area (regular bus shuttle service).
Westendorf offers numerous possibilities for beginners and experts: Many ski paths and flatter slopes allow less experienced winter sportsmen to enjoy the day without stress, while the 111 and 113 slopes offer easy and beautiful panoramic valley descents.
Advanced winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to numerous challenges on the Westendorf slopes: courage and skill are required for the steepest slope in the entire SkiWelt, the black 112 slope on the western slope of the Choralpe: with an 80 percent gradient, this slope is really not for beginners... One of the longest and most beautiful slopes also starts from the Choralpe: the Kandler run (No. 11) to Brixen. With many terrain crossings and steep sections, you need to be in good physical condition. If you like to collect kilometers of ski runs, Westendorf offers a choice of 4 valley runs - one more attractive than the other.
A family environment, the practice meadow with SkiWelt connection is a beginners' and children's ski area in the middle of the village centre but also easier downhill runs on the mountain. Westendorf is also an excellent choice for family winter holidays. A special highlight: the Laubkogel with a platter lift - here even the little skiers can feel big and admire the mountain world from above.
Not only insiders know: in Westendorf the post goes off. No wonder, because with the Big Playground© Westendorf offers "the" fun park of the whole region. From beginner to pro - here every rider finds his challenges, there is always new planning, building and shaping - routine is a foreign word in the boarders playground.
The Mini Playground© at the practice meadow in the valley: A fun park for beginners and small riders with an Easy Line: Mini Jump Line and Mini Rail Line provide lots of fun with slightly smaller obstacles than at the boarders playground.
Westendorf is also definitely one of the best freeride spots in the Tyrolean lowlands. Shady slopes, cliffs, long runs into the valleys, in short: here you will find everything a real freeride spot needs.
In Westendorf you can not only spend the night in one of the many bars in the centre of the village, but also do night skiing at Schneeberg (piste 126).
