Ski courses in Obertauern

The high alpine location of the Obertauern ski area
at 1.630 m to 2.313 m above sea level
it is thanks to the fact that snow-assured skiing
is possible from November to May.

Over 100 kilometres of slopes, in perfect condition and arranged like a star around Obertauern, promise pure skiing fun. The 26 modern lifts ensure that you land straight on top of the slopes. For freeriders, there is also plenty of powder snow and variant runs. Freestylers, on the other hand, are in good hands in the snowpark Obertauern with 40 elements on 3 slopes (3 km total length) and powder kicker zone as well as their own freestyle freeride route. For early risers, selected ski lifts open at 8.30 am once a week. So after breakfast you're off to the slopes right away. And that without using a car, because almost all accommodations in Obertauern are located somewhere in the middle of the ski area or on a ski slope.

Already children love Obertauern. Because the children's countries of the ski area promise fun and adventure, and they also learn to ski at the same time. The local ski and snowboard schools are simply excellent at teaching skiing so playfully that the course participants are immediately carried away by their passion and don't want to get off the piste at all. Very courageous ski bunnies meet at the creepy slope. In the 30 m long wooden tunnel a creepy surprise awaits you at one or the other corner. As Obertauern is well known and popular for skiing, there is of course also a suitable tour for the kids. On the Bobby Runde, a ghost train and a fairytale forest, a wave train and a stopover at Bibo Bär provide a fun change.

The fast piste racers also like to test the different timing and speed race tracks and match each other. You see, in Obertauern you will certainly not get bored, no matter if you come alone, with your family or with friends for skiing and snowboarding. An important point should also be mentioned: Obertauern is a popular ski holiday destination, not least because of the many ski huts and après ski bars spread all over the ski area. The cuisine here is excellent, and is only surpassed by the good atmosphere at the après-ski. The party mile is also right after the last downhill run in the centre of the village, so you can carve straight from the ski slope into the partying. If you prefer to stay even further on the ski slope in the evening, then that's no problem, as the ski area invites you to go night skiing twice a week.
