Ski schools and ski courses in Sölden - Hotspot der Alpen

Sölden, the ski area in Tyrol, the hotspot in the Alps, is located between 1,350 and 3,340 meters and has therefore got guaranteed snow throughout the winter. With 2 glaciers, 3 three thousand meter peaks and 144 kilometres of slopes, there is something for all skill levels and you will certainly not get bored. The start of the ski season here is therefore already in September. Thanks to the guaranteed snow on the glaciers of Rettenbach and Tiefenbachferner, skiing is possible from autumn until the start of May. For the adventurers among you, Sölden offers a large backcountry ski area. 70 km of off-piste variants await you.

To ensure that you can really enjoy the huge range of different slopes, the local ski schools and snowboard schools will help you in the right direction. From ski courses for kids from the age of 3 to ski courses and snowboard courses for adults, everything is provided here. There is also a nursery for kids from 6 months old! If you were wondering why you would still need to take skiing or snowboard lessons as an adult? It’s simple: it’s much more fun and takes less energy and effort to safely carve or board your way over the slopes. Even advanced skiers still learn when they are taught by the top-trained ski instructors on the slopes, promise!

Sölden calls itself ‘the Ibiza of the Alps’ and that already shows what awaits you here off the slopes: many events, après ski and a great atmosphere! Speaking of events: a particularly outstanding event takes place at the start of the winter, the FIS skiing World Cup, which takes place every year in October. Here, all the pro-skiers, fans and the event community meet in the Tyrolean town, and on this weekend, it is the absolute ‘place to be’. Afterwards, the winter continues: several top-class DJ’s turn the mountains of Sölden into an electric mountain party of great style. The end of the winter season is celebrated in style with the Electric Mountain Festival which takes place at the end of April and is spread out over 2 days and is not only a highlight in the Electric scene. Will you be there?

If you have had enough of skiing, which seems very unlikely with the huge offer of slopes, then there are always some other options: Tobogganing on the toboggan run Stiegele with a shuttle service directly from the village (once a week the run is lit and open in the evening) or on one of the other 3 natural toboggan runs, which is great to do with both friends and family – including a stop off at a mountain hut. There is always the option of cross-country skiing in Sölden. The Ötztaler cross-country skiing centre with around 143 kilometres of groomed trails is suitable for skating and classic cross-country skiing and the snow secure 12km long high-altitude trail in Gries near Längenfeld is not far from the village. Great fun is also the ice-skating rink in the village or a visit to the Freizeit Arena Sölden with an adventure pool, sauna, sport hall, tennis hall, fitness studio and much more. For real water lovers there is something extra special: only 15km from Sölden, you can find the Aqua Dome Therme Längenfeld. With a space of 22,000m² you will find 12 in-and outside pools with a comfortable water temperature of 35 to 36°C, a specially designed children’s area, a sauna world, beauty offers and much more. The Aqua Dome Therme is definitely worth a visit!
