Ski schools and ski courses in Saalbach

Saalbach Hinterglemm (including the town of Vorderglemm) is the most casual ski area in the Alps. Why? Very simple: 270km of slopes, from gentle hills to fast descents, perfect powder slopes to free-ride and snow-parks, 77 modern lifts, rustic and modern ski huts, cool après ski and plenty more things are offered in the ski circus… You just cannot imagine all the things you can experience here. One thing you can be sure of, it definitely won’t be boring and you will want to come back to experience more of what this place has to offer. Which you will be happy to do.

Regarding the ski area itself: thanks to the recent expansion of the ski area and the merge with the ski circus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, there is an extraordinary amount of ski rounds and tours to experience, under which is the 65km long ski circus round, for which you will need to take a whole day. The ski area is also loved by Freeriders, Freestyle skiers and Freeskiers. Freeriders will find countless off-piste variants and, as already mentioned, their own Freeride park, Freeride camps and much more. For Freeskiers and Freestyle skiers there are also more Funparks amongst which is the Nitro Snowpark in Leogang. If you are looking for a softer variation of these wild parks, there are different Funslopes and snow trails, some natural forest trails.

With this number of slopes, the Salzburger towns of Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Voderglemm also need to offer some things to get people off the slopes. And this they do! With over a 100 events every year, amongst which the Rave on Snow, the FIS ski world cup, the mountain festival, the ski-tour event Mountain Attack, the Freeride world tour and many, many more. Of course, you can also toboggan, cross-country ski and go on a winter hike. But you can also go paragliding, drive a ski-doo or a quad or go snow-tubing. If you would still rather relax then the Tauern Spa Kaprun is also not far away.

If you think that this area provides too much action for a family-holiday then you are wrong. Mainly families find a casual and relaxing holiday here. For these there are some very special offers, for example the Baumzipfelweg or the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps. Last but not least, there are also some very good ski and snowboard schools around who are happy to teach both your kids and yourself to master the different slopes. The ski schools and snowboard schools offer as wide a variety as the ski area itself. Just in case you would like to know, you can find ski courses for kids from the age of 3 up to adult ski courses, courses for beginners to advanced, group courses and private lessons. And of course, you can also rent your ski equipment with our online ski rental.
