Ski schools and ski courses in Rußbach

The Salzburger ski village of Russbach is part of the ski region Dachstein West with 155 kilometres of slopes and 64 lifts and cable cars. 14 Funslopes – from the racetrack to the wave slope, to moguls – guarantee that boredom will never arise. For many of these slopes, you need a lot of courage and skill. The “Wilde Hilde“ for example has a 67% gradient and to do this you should be quite a confident skier. If you should need some help with this, then the local ski schools and snowboard schools can help you to improve your technique and your ability – whether it is on a ski courses or snowboard course in a group or with a private instructor.

Those who ski for fun will love the “Panoronda“, the 44 km long ski enjoyment circuit, which joins the areas of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg and where a stunning view of the Dachstein glacier and the high mountain feeling will accompany you on your way.

The Salzburger ski resort of Dachstein West and the holiday area of Russbach is perfect for your family ski holiday. In the children’s club “Spatzennest“, the kindergarten for your little ones from the age of one, qualified teachers will look after your loved ones, whilst you go skiing or enjoy one of the many other winter activities. The children’s club is free of charge for the children of Russbacher guests! For a small surcharge, there is also lunchtime supervision. Of course you can also leave your little ones in the capable hands of the local ski schools and snowboard schools, where they learn to ski and snowboard from the bottom up: as no master has ever just fallen out of the sky. If you need a ski equipment you can also rent it here too simply with our online ski rental.

The ski area of Dachstein West is not only something for families, for it has a Snowpark for Freeskiers and Freestylers, as well as a Rookie Park for everyone who has to practice in order to become a professional. And by the way: The Salzburger ski resort is practically the local mountain of Marcel Hirscher. So if Marcel learned how to ski here, then that means something, or not?

Off the slopes there is a lot on offer in Russbach. Two cross-county skiing trails are situated in the surrounding area, winter hiking can be done directly in the area and on the Hornspitz and there are also many possibilities for snowshoe hiking. Geocacher’s can find up to 30 Caches in the region, spread out over the slopes and entry points. And romantics can of course take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the valley.

Due to its location, Russbach is also ideal for guests who would like to go on excursions and make discoveries, as the Salzkammergut, the Dachstein glacier and the day trip destinations in Salzburger Land, as well as the city of Salzburg are all within easy reach. But you will always be drawn back to the slopes, as they are simply fantastic. That is what Marcel thinks too.
