In the Hochkönig itself there is the Königstour, the 35 km long ski circuit over 6 peaks and 7,500 altitude metres. 3 photo points and numerous seating places offer the perfect photo setting along the ski circuit. Treasure seekers can find 15 Geocaches here, which can be found with the help of a GPs device. There are two Snowparks in Mühlbach and even the Blue Tomato Kings Park, which is 1,8 km long and in the small ski resort of Hochkeil by Arthurhaus, there is the Hochkönig ”Livingroom”. Ski tourers can look forward to the 1,5 km ski touring learning path from Dynafit, where you can learn or refresh your ski touring technique.

If you are an early riser, then you will be pleased to know that there is Early Morning Skiing, where on selected days you can ski on selected slopes for an hour first thing in the morning and you are the first one to carve down the perfectly prepared slopes. You will be accompanied by the management of the lift company, which means that you will get some very interesting tips and background information about the ski area, which you might  have otherwise never known about. To refuel, there is then a tasty breakfast at one of the ski huts.

With these concentrated offers in the ski region, you might not find any time to try out the local 40 km long cross-country skiing trail, tobogganing run, winter hikes etc. Nevertheless, they are still a great change to being out on the slopes. For many of the attractions, you get a reduction by the way, with the Hochkönig Card, the advantage card, which you get for free when you stay one night or more at one of the participating accommodation providers. Last but not least, there is one more thing that is worth mentioning: The Hochkönig has adopted veganism. What does this mean? It means that at ski huts and accommodation providers that have been distinguished with a “V-Label“, you can get a varied and very healthy selection of vegan meals. This you cannot find anywhere else!
