Dienten, next to Maria Alm and Mühlbach are the three highest situated holiday regions in the Salzburger region Hochkönig.

Dienten is not only a part of the Hochkönig ski region, with 120 kilometres of slopes and the magnificent ski circuit, the Königstour, which spans over 35 kilometres of slopes, 6 peaks and 7,500 altitude metres, but is also a part of Austria’s greatest skiing, Ski amadé. In the Hochkönig ski region there is a lot to discover, which probably means that you will have to come back again in order to be able to discover everything: a number of Snowparks and Funslopes, photo points and box seats, numerous ski huts and mountain restaurants, sweeten up any ski day. Tobogganing can be done on the floodlit toboggan run at the Grüneggalm and of course you can also take a horse drawn sleigh ride in the region. You can also get many reductions by using the Hochkönig Card, the region’s advantage card. You get the Hochkönig Card for free when you stay more than one night at participating accommodation providers. Last but not least, the Hochkönig region and Dienten are very popular amongst ski tourers. A designated ski touring route starts directly on the Dientner Sattel and spans over 2,8 km and 400 altitude metres. Beginner ski tourers are well catered for on the local ski touring learning route and can learn the perfect technique there with the aid of seven display boards.
