Ski schools and ski courses in the ski area Hochfügen-Hochzillertal

Since a connection was established in December 2004 between the ski areas of the Hochzillertal and Hochfügen mountain railways, the resort, with approx. 89 kilometres of pistes and 37 lifts, is one of the three major ski areas in the Zillertal, along with the Zillertal Arena and Ski Zillertal 3000.

Depending on snow conditions, the ski season usually begins with weekend operations in November and December. Continuous lift operation takes place from December to the beginning or middle of April. The area is the home ski area of Olympic champion Stephan Eberharter, after whom the long valley run was named.

Since December 2004, Hochfügen-Hochzillertal has consisted of the sub-areas of the villages of Hochfügen in the municipality of Fügenberg and Hochzillertal in the municipality of Kaltenbach. They are connected by several chairlifts.

You can enter the ski-optimal Hochfügen - Hochzillertal area from both ski resorts. Most skiers prefer the valley station of the Hochzillertal cable cars in Kaltenbach because of the approximately 12 km journey to Hochfügen. A second roller coaster was opened there in 2006, which runs from the Kaltenbach valley station parallel to the old lift without a stopover to the ski area.
