But also carving friends and snowboarders appreciate the offer. The Christlum lifts in Achenkirch, the Rofanseilbahn in Maurach, the Karwendel mountain railroad in Pertisau and the lifts in Steinberg and Wiesing offer a total of 30 lifts and thus open up 53 kilometers of slopes up to an altitude of almost 1,900 meters.
The region's six ski schools offer courses for every level of ability - from private lessons to weekly courses. Even the youngest children are taught skiing with ease and pleasure at all the ski schools in the region.
