Ski schools and ski courses in Pruggern

Pruggern is a small holiday community in the Styrian region Schladming-Dachstein, only a 15 minute drive from the hot sport, Schladming. In Pruggern you can find an original country life and a nearly unspoilt nature. The ski mountain of Pruggern does not need to hide, the Galsterberg, with its 15 kilometres of slopes and 5 cable car facilities. 


From the centre, the ski bus takes you to the bottom station in only 15 minutes, where you then get into a cable car and are taken up to the popular ski resort for families and locals. Yes exactly, on the Galsterberg you will bump into a lot of welcoming locals. As they like this small, fine ski resort away from the hectic of the neighbouring top ski resort. Last but not least, they also like it because the Galsterberg is a designated ski touring mountain. The Gallic ski village, the local children’s land. Offer together with Asterix and Obelix and the Gaulish fellow citizens a fun change for your kids. For those who are fit and have got their ski legs, there is a 1,2 km long training slope and 2 Funslopes.

A place which has so many attractions on offer for families, has of course got good ski schools and snowboard schools, where you can make an idividual ski course and snowboard course. The best trained and motivated ski and snowboard instructors can help you and your children to swing skilfully down the slopes. Whether on skis or on a snowboard, you will surely become a speed demon here in no time.

From the Galsterberg, there is also a 5 km long toboggan run, which is lit three evenings a week. A further insider tip is to have ribs for dinner before going tobogganing at the Bottinghaus by the top station of the Galsterbergs, including a stop off at the après ski bar at the bottom station. Winter hiking can also be done on the Galsterberg.

And if all that is not enough, then you can of course drive five minutes to Schladming, the 4-Berge-Skischaukel and there from Hauser Kaibling to can get to Planai and Hochwurzen and all the way to the Reiteralm lifts. These resorts connect a total of 123 of the best prepared kilometres of slopes and 44 of the most up to date cable railways. It is good news then that Pruggern and also the 4-Berge-Skischaukel lifts are a part of Ski amadé. As that means, with only 1 multi-day ticket you can make use of all these ski areas and many others without having to pay a surcharge. The region Schladming Dachstein is incidentally well known for its Styrian hospitality and warmth and the high quality cuisine. This means that you have to plan in enough time, when you stop off at one of the ski huts.
