Greifenburg is considered one of the best thermal flying areas in Europe. The flying camp is a popular meeting point for paragliders and hang-gliders. Whoever starts a flight from the Emberger Alm is rewarded with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains, forests and crystal clear lakes. Hobby pilots can indulge their passion at the nearby model airfield in Amlach.
In winter, the Emberger Alm is a small family ski area, where you can also go cross-country skiing or go on romantic (snowshoe) winter hikes.
